I like to know where I'm at. Winter is a reality up here in Wyoming and my pacecount in deep snow with a pack and rifle is different than summer in hiking boots This is a 300 foot/100 yard tape measure just so I can be certain of actual distance on varying terrain
That's a valuable thing to know your pace count as everyone has a different stride. Do you gauge your stride distance by time or keeping count of strides? Never did that with skis, only walking.
